GENCO Announces Appointment of Parcel Solutions Vice Presidents
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April 6, 2007 - GENCO today announced the appointment of Michelle Gripenstraw and Rachel Stensaas as vice presidents of Parcel Solutions. Gripenstraw is based in Atlanta, Georgia and responsible for developing new business in the Southeast region. Stensaas is based in Chicago, Illinois and responsible for expanding business in the Midwest region. Both will be responsible for providing business development in the areas of parcel management, negotiation and audit solutions for customers.
Gripenstraw has 14 years of professional experience in supply chain, engineering and new customer development, including the past seven with GENCO. Gripenstraw's prior roles at GENCO have included director of Business Development, director of Marketing, and director of Supply Chain Analytics at its Green Bay, WI office. She was responsible for comprehensive benchmarking, analyzing and designing supply chains for Fortune 1000 customers and maintaining on-going relationships and growth initiatives. Additionally, she led analysis and value proposition development for potential new customers. Before joining GENCO, Gripenstraw was senior manager of Strategic Marketing and Business Development at Chiron Corporation, a top-tier biotechnology company. She directed the New Products Planning group, where she managed a product partnership with Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals with over $70 million in annual revenue. Prior to Chiron, she worked at Genentech, Inc., a leading biotechnology company. At Genentech, she designed and implemented a portfolio management system to maximize the productivity of Genentech's over $300 million R&D budget. Stensaas comes to GENCO from Dayton Freight Lines in Milwaukee, WI. where she was responsible for a $3 million territory selling LTL services to medium and large businesses. Prior to Dayton Freight Lines, Stensaas worked for UPS as both a senior account executive and key account executive. She was responsible for parcel sales and working with e-commerce solutions, building a $30 million territory while consistently exceeded business plans consisting of 13 percent growth.
