Thomas J. Aumann joins GENCO as Senior Vice President of Brokerage and Shipper Alliance
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - January 4, 2007 - GENCO today announced that Thomas Aumann has joined GENCO as senior vice president of Brokerage and Shipper Alliance. He will be responsible for business development and customer relationships for these services at GENCO's Supply Chain Management division in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
GENCO's Brokerage service provides carrier capacity at competitive prices with reliable service. GENCO's Shipper Alliance provides multi-shipper collaboration through engineered and managed dedicated tours to help companies reduce transportation costs and provide better service. Aumann comes to GENCO with over 15 years of transportation and logistics experience. Just prior to joining GENCO, he served in various key leadership roles within Schneider National, Inc. Most recently, Aumann was responsible for the startup of Schneider's new inside sales division, creating a new venue for the company to access small to medium sized customers. Prior to that, Aumann spent three years as vice president of operations for Schneider's Brokerage division where he tripled its size, making it one of the industry's leading companies with over 20 field offices. In addition, Aumann served as a general manager for Schneider's Logistics division where he was responsible for large accounts, including a leading agricultural/construction manufacturer operating in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Europe and overseeing other customer operations, including warehousing, transportation, supplier compliance, freight forwarding and vessel contracting. Prior to Schneider National, Inc., Aumann worked in both the banking and retail sectors. "We are extremely pleased that Tom will be leading GENCO's Brokerage and Shipper Alliance services. Aumann holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a master's degree in International Logistics from Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Engineering.
