GENCO Announces New Vice President of Transportation Solutions
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - February 16, 2005 - GENCO's Supply Chain Management Division announces Mark Hackl as vice president of Transportation Solutions. In his new role, Mr. Hackl is responsible for leading the development of new business in areas of Transportation Brokerage, Carrier Relations and Technology Solutions at GENCO.
Prior to GENCO, Mr. Hackl worked at Georgia Pacific where he provided leadership in the areas of Transportation Operations, Carrier Management and Systems Integration. He played a key role in bringing together Georgia Pacific's transportation management using common systems and processes to generate synergies and create freight savings. Most recently he was responsible for Georgia Pacific's west coast transportation operations, working with carriers to manage capacity necessary to support $200M in freight spend. Through the use of collaborative transportation strategies, Mr. Hackl led the development and implementation of "Shared Dedicated Fleets" across multiple shippers to increase carrier capacity and reduce freight costs. Mark designed innovative technology to support this model by working directly with several Fortune 500 companies.
